You can, and the bit of you that faces the cool air will feel good, but overall it will just make the room hotter. An a/c pushes heat up hill, making some part hotter and the another colder but it is mechanical and so adds a bit of heat as it runs. Unless you can vent the heat out, you just end up with something like a fancy fan.
Can you vent it under the door?
You could use a portable air conditioner indoors, but it would need to be over a sink or something like that because I am sure you know, it will purposely drip out the back end so the Freon doesn’t cause the unit to totally freeze up. I can understand not having a place to cut out a hole for it to go into, but did you maybe consider putting it over your bathroom tub or something like that so the water that leaks out just goes right into your bathroom tub. If it is a big enough Air Conditioner, it should have more then enough power to reach the bedroom even if it isn’t directly in the room you want to cool. Otherwise if this doesn’t work for you, I am more then certain they make indoor air conditioners you can buy that work just as good as a window unit. Hope this helps and good luck.
you can but, the air conditioner needs to breath: that is why air conditioners ae usually outside the window- so that they can pull n fresh air to keep the motor running well. otherwise the motor will begin to heat up inside the room and you will be defeating your purpose when you figure out that you are only circulating the same warm air. I suggest you use a fan.
